Synopsis

George and Harold have created the greatest superhero in the history of their elementary school, and now they’re going to bring him to life.

Comments

A fun read-the humor is spot-on for kids. The boys are a little irreverent to their principal, but they are not mean-spirited.  This graphic novel is a good choice for reluctant readers. Kids as young as 7 and 8 may like this book, but you might read a bit with them to be sure you’re okay with the content.

Sexual Content

None, though drawings and description of superhero who flies around in his underwear.

None

Violence/Disturbing

Boys have a concern that big kids will ‘kill them’ if they discover they are behind the pranks.

Social/Family

Boys think the principal hates children. Boys blackmail the principal. Boys pull lots of pranks, some are damaging to property and played out directly on people (itch cream swapped for muscle cream). Boys hypnotize principal and have him act like animals. Some mild potty humor, including using fake dog poop.
